Application Of Energy

well, it's been two weeks since I became one of the great unemployed masses. So far I've spent much of the time relaxing, working the metaphysical kinks out of my system that three and a half years of work have left me. The rest of the time I've spent socialising and looking for a new job. Today it's the turn of the IT sector- I'm applying for jobs at the Uni and College in the hope that one of them will give me the time of day- I can't afford to be out of work for too long. I've got a meeting with the agency on Monday, so hopefully if I don't get anything else I should at least be able to temp somewhere to keep the finances balanced.

Socially Lufbra's fairly quiet ATM. A lot of people have gone home or are too busy working. There's normally food, a couple of drinks and a movie of an evening though, either here or at Vixel's (dependant on whose round of the great culinary crusade it is).

So life keeps plodding along. Not much to talk about, really. My parents are visiting next week, I'm possibly playing in the next instalment of Leo's SR game this weekend... Same old, same old. Looking forward even more to hitting NL in September- I'm reminded of all the time I spent in Holland waiting to move back to the UK; maybe the grass is always greener on the other side. ;)

Anyways, in closing here's another meme pulled off Vixel's LJ...

I suppose I deserved that :P

Admit it, you want to be Manga Joe :P

Would you prefer Film-Noir Joe or Action Hero Joe? Admittedly the former requires me to stand under a streetlight in the rain (in black-and-white), while the latter needs a course of steroids... ;)
...Nah, aside from needing to work the paunch off, I like me. :)

...And yep, you deserved that. :P

I think Bad 80s Mafia Movie-Joe would suit you best :P Plus you'd get to play with guns!

I wanted to go try out the beer car park of that pub round the corner from my house this evening, but I think the weather would suggest that's a bad idea. Bah.

I can't have any more caffeine now until I go home. Expect whinging. I demand you keep me entertained! (and a gin and tonic)

But I don't like mafia movies! ;)
Nani? Why no more caffeine?
The Met Office claims the worst of the weather will have passed by six, so a swift half at the local isn't too bad an idea. We don't have to sit outside in any case. :)
Don't forget we also have a movie to watch either tonight or tomorrow night... and I'm sure a G&T can be incorporated into that. ;)

No more caffeine 'cause afternoon break's over. Only an hour and 20 minutes to go though!

A pint a little later sounds good, movie-age would possibly be best left until tomorrow though, as I have food preparation and fridge cleaning to do tonight, as well as the statement of doom.

and you look like an evil mafia boss when dressed for an interview :P so there :P
